Program for Leading Graduate Schools Forum 2017

“Program for Leading Graduate Schools Forum 2017” was held in Nagoya. About 1,000 people, mostly students and faculty members from 62 leading programs among 33 universities adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, participated in this program. From U-ATOM, Mr. Kawachi, second grade of doctorial course, and Project Professor Sugimoto participated in the program.
At the “Pre-forum Discussion” Mr. Kawachi attended the discussion on the recommendation with the participating students based on his prepared materials. He then obtained valuable findings on the method for conducting and summarizing diversified discussions. At the “Short presentation” he had an amazing first experience to give presentation to several hundreds of audiences, on what he have learned and achieved through the program activities. At the “Poster presentation by students” he explained about his research of doctoral thesis to participants from industry-academic-government. He got not only several comments on his research activities, but also personal and professional advices on the future career path. At the Reception he had a good opportunity to talk with participants from industry-academic-government while eating, and also he had a chance to promote friendship with students from another programs. Also he obtained up-to-date and valuable information and knowledges by listening keynote speech and panel discussion.
Through the participation in this Forum, Mr. Kawachi, by attending all the session, succeeded not only to deepen his diversity, but also to extend his human network with business people and students, who have active roles in a variety of fields, thus resulting in highly meaningful experiences.
